1. Close to Pattaya and Jomtien
One of Huay Yai’s most significant advantages is that it is outside Pattaya and has a much slower, more laid-back atmosphere. However, Central Pattaya is only 20 minutes away and Jomtien is less than that getting the best of both worlds. It is ideal for families who want a peaceful home life but still want all the attractions that Pattaya has to offer.
2. Upmarket neighborhood
Just as Pratamnak and Wongamat standout as upmarket areas for condos, Huay Yai has the same appeal when it comes to the private Villa market. There are some superb modern villages in the area as well as large private residences. Hauy Yai is overall very well maintained and is a great place to bring up children. It has almost no problem with crime, and there are no bars or nightclubs that have load music all night.
3. Awesome beaches close by
The beautiful beaches of Na Jomtien and Ban Amphur are just minutes away from Huay Yai by car. They are undoubtedly some of the best in the area and are largely unspoiled and far cleaner than those in Jomtien or Pattaya. Trees offer plenty of shade, and you can visit some excellent beachfront restaurants. Huai Yai is ideal for families and those who want to enjoy the sun, sea, and sand.
4. Easy for commuters
Huay Yai is easy for commuters traveling to the Eastern Seaboard or Bangkok. Highway 36 is very accessible, making it easy to get to Bangkok or Rayong with the Sukhumvit Road also nearby. U-Tapao Airport is also only around 30 minutes away, meaning it is convenient for those who are frequent flyers.
5. Excellent amenities
Huay Yai and the surrounding areas have all the amenities that you would need. There are excellent restaurants in the village itself and a few upmarket restaurants in Ban Amphur. There are family-orientated bars, the usual 7-Elevens and similar shops with Big C and Tesco Lotus in South Pattaya being only a short drive away. Of course, the area has typical Thai markets selling fresh fruit, vegetables, meats, and fish.
